Manage your data securely with NordLocker for Business

NordLocker has grown by leaps and bounds since its first iteration in 2019. We launched a secure cloud, introduced features like Space Saver and Web Access, and released an Android app.

Now we’re launching NordLocker for Business, a private cloud to manage access to all of an organization’s files securely.

Why do businesses need to protect their data?

Any data at your fingertips seems great until you realize that, as an organization, you’re responsible for protecting it. The rising number of cyber attacks and ransomware cases, data leaks, and new data privacy laws – all increase the risk to data you handle every day. Mishandling data or leaving it unprotected can damage your reputation and may have steep financial consequences. NordLocker for Business is our way to help small and medium-sized businesses prevent these problems.

NordLocker for Business is a secure cloud environment with local encryption that protects you from unauthorized access to your data. In other words, you become the sole owner of your digital world.

What features does it provide?

At its core, NordLocker is the same for everyone – an end-to-end encrypted cloud to store, sync, and share files securely and privately. Its zero-knowledge architecture and drag-and-drop interface makes security accessible to all. However, NordLocker works a bit differently for organizations.

Firstly, you manage your storage as a company. Even though every user gets their piece of the NordLocker Cloud, the company’s administrators have elevated privileges to manage this data. You can easily manage your data via the Admin Panel (more on that later). Other features of NordLocker for Business include:

  • Unlimited local encryption

  • Secure backup

  • Protection from ransomware

  • Multi-platform access

  • Multi-factor authentication

  • User license distribution

  • Access management

Business accounts can also share files privately. For now, sharing is available between NordLocker business users. New ways to transfer files between users and to external organizations as well as access control are coming soon.

What can you do with the Admin Panel?

The Admin Panel is where you can manage the cloud storage and all of its users. You can use it to invite other company employees, see their storage usage at a glance, or distribute licenses. Only the business account owners and their assigned administrators can access this platform.

Another useful feature of the Admin Panel is user groups – a way to sort your company’s cloud storage by different teams for easier organizations. User groups, more sharing functionality, and account recovery will be implemented in the upcoming months.
